Troma’s New Year’s Fear Squeals The Spotlight on Jan. 21st With Mark Lawrence(Key Largo, The Asphalt Jungle)’s PIGS. a Film More Frightening Than Any Swine Elected to Congress!

Get Hog Tied at 9PM at Film Noir Cinema in Brooklyn, NYC!

“…a legitimately frightening movie that just so happens to use pork products as a horrific plot device and it works very well.” – Greg Baty, Cinesploitation

…it makes an undeniable impression and has a disturbing and uneasy feel that it establishes and maintains throughout, keeping its WTF? elements in check and playing it totally straight and low-key. It’s a grimly serious horror film…”
– Mark Tinta, Good Efficient Butchery

“Pigs has an energy that’s hard to resist, thanks in large part to the performances delivered by father and daughter.”- Dave Becker, 2,500 Movies Challenge

PIGS Directed by Marc Lawrence

A small town is rocked by the brutal murder of a father by his daughter Lynn (Toni Lawrence, BEYOND REASON), who claims he viciously raped her.  Lynn escapes from the confines of a mental institution and travels deep into farm country to hide from her pursuers, only to find carnage that comes from the most unlikely of species.  Lynn gets a job at a small diner run by farmer Zambrini (Marc Lawrence, KEY LARGO and THE ASPHALT JUNGLE), who harbors his own dark recipe for murder.  Soon local yokels begin to disappear and Zambrini’s pig farm begins to mysteriously multiply. What secrets does Zambrini hold in that pigpen?  Find out when you watch PIGS, a tasty treat any home cookin’ horror fan can enjoy!

Not since the introduction of Spam® has there been such a taste of true terror!
