SAN DIEGO COMIC CON INVITES TROMA & LLOYD KAUFMAN TO SHARE 40 YEARS OF BRANDING SECRETS

With the internet age providing independent artists more opportunities than ever before to subvert major media conglomerates and get their work seen, Troma has been invited to create a panel on Branding Your Own Damn Self at San Diego Comic Con! Lloyd Kaufman will appear alongside indie branding experts including Anina Bennett and Paul Guinan (whose graphic novel Boilerplate is being adapted for the screen by J. J. Abrams!), Ron Jeremy, Mick Garris (Masters of Horror), Chris Brandt (Independents), and Pat Swinney Kaufman (New York Film Commissioner). They will reveal their secrets on branding, and how to market yourself, your art, and your ideas in your quest to make a creative living, during the discussion moderated by Mimi Cruz of legendary Night Flight Comics.

The panel will also feature a special screening of Brand Your Own Damn Self, featuring Stan Lee, a 12-minute video lesson that will premiere at this panel! Stan wrote the foreword to Kaufman’s recent book Sell Your Own Damn Movie. The panel will take place on July 14 at 9pm in Room 9 of San Diego Convention Center. Kaufman will also be meeting fans and signing merchandise for free at the Troma booth during the convention, which runs from July 12 to 15. Tickets can be purchased from http://www.comic-con.org/cci/.
