The Center  of Communication has asked Lloyd Kaufman, President of Troma Entertainment and Creator of the Toxic Avenger, to present his Make Your Own Damn Movie! Master Class Tuesday, November 15th, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at the School of Visual Arts Theatre on 333 West 23rd St. The seminar will be free of charge for students and professors.  The seminar, presented by The Center of Communication, will guide aspiring filmmakers and film fans through the process of bringing their ideas to the big screen.  Students will gain a plethora of film-making knowledge, from pre production, to raising money, to distribution, including secrets Kaufman has learned in his 40 years producing, writing, and directing such films and Tromeo & Juliet and Poultrygeist: Night of  the Chicken Dead.

There will also be a Q & A session with Kaufman as well as Troma merchandise available for purchase including books, DVDs, and posters, all of which Kaufman will autograph for free.  Kaufman’s Moderator will be Professor Brian Rose. Rose, coming from Fordham University, has written several books on television history and cultural programming, as well at two anthologies on television genres.
