In 1975, Lloyd Kaufman and his good friend John Avildsen worked together on a little movie about a down-on-his-luck boxer given his one chance at glory. The movie was called Rocky, and won Avildsen an Oscar for Best Director. Kaufman was so impressed with the film, he adopted the bohemian lifestyle of Rocky Balboa. Instead of pounding chops every morning, Kaufman trains by assaulting DGA trainees and various members of the Troma.com staff.

For over thirty years, Troma Entertainment has been at the vanguard of independent cinema, permeating pop culture in ways never imaginable when "Big Gus, What's The Fuss?" was just a twinkle in Lloyd Kaufman's mind. But the truth is, fans of Lloyd and Troma are everywhere! Some you already know about: Kevin Smith. Quentin Tarantino. Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
