The
Eerie Horror Film Festival was honored to present Lloyd Kaufman with a Lifetime
Achievement Award for his work in independent cinema on Saturday,
October 8th, 2005. Lloyd and Toxie were joined
on stage by Horror Fest spokesmen Baron Von Kropp
and his faithful sidekick Silas P. Rutledge before a sold-out, un-cut screening
of the Troma classic "Terror Firmer". Mr. Kaufman spoke briefly to
the audience and then presented an award of his own to Festival Director Greg Ropp for his efforts in "promoting world peace
through celluloid". All in all it was a night to remember for everyone involved!The Fest, which takes place each year in Erie,
Pennsylvania, showcases independent horror and science fiction films from
around the world and is already seeking submissions for it's 2006 event.
