I just finished reading your latest book, which was filled with loads of valuable stuff I already knew. However, dispite the somewhat amusing way you have of telling your story, I must take exception to one of your statements. You tell your devotees to "GO DOWN TO THE VA HOSPITAL AND STEAL A PROSTHETIC LIMB FROM SOME SENILE OLD WAR HERO..." As a senile old war hero, ( VIETNAM '69 )who spends a lot of time at the VA, AND a filmmaker, I must demand satisfaction for this outrageous utterance. Now, not only do I have to keep my cast and "collaborators" from stealing my props and gear, I now have to worry about them stealing my government issue leg! You owe me, Kaufman! The next time you are shooting in LA and you need a one-legged old wreak who can act and knows his way around a set, you better call me! Actually I enjoyed this book as much as I did your first. It's a hell of a lot better than that piece of dreck about Andy Milligan. You almost picked up Andy's last film, SURGIKILL, for which I wrote the original and largely unshot script. so, our paths have yet to cross professionally. Anyway, great book(s). Hope to be in the next one. If I don't get my $6000 prothesis stolen. - Sherman Hirsh July 11: Check out Alisa and her lovely models from CafeDeb.com!!! ![]() July 11: Shocker Toys is debuting an exclusive Toxic Avenger Shockini at this year's San Diego Comic Con!
