BATTLE OF LOVE'S RETURN
THE BATTLE OF LOVE'S RETURN
SYNOPSIS

The Battle of Love's Return is one of Lloyd Kaufman's (President of Troma and creator of The Toxic Avenger) early directorial efforts. In the tradition of Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd, and Charlie Chaplin, The Battle of Love's Return is the witty, whimsical story of one little man's struggle for happiness in the crazy, modern world. Abercrombie (played by Kaufman) is the classic Everyman, a struggling hero who can't get ahead. Dim-witted and accident prone, Abercrombie bounces from one absurd job to another, and finally to the battlefield. Only one person sppears to bring him happiness, the "Dreamgirl" who seems to be always just out of reach.

The Battle of Love's Return is an unforgettable, sublime comedy from the cutting edge minds that went on to give us classics like The Toxic Avenger, Sgt. Kabukiman N.Y.P.D. and Tromeo & Juliet. Also features Stanley Kaufman and cameos by Oliver Stone, Richard Lewin and Robert Edelstein.
